A Snapshot of Snettisham is a 72-page full colour book by local writer and photographer Richard Gibbs ARPS.  It tells of the history and present-day attractions of the village, one of the gems of North-West Norfolk.

The book is intended literally as a snapshot of the village of Snettisham.  It doesn’t pretend to be the complete picture.  For that you have to live there, and live there long.  And even that may not be enough.  One local resident, Andy Grange, a legend in his own right, was asked by a passer-by the other day whether he had lived his whole life in the village.  “Not yet!” was his sharp reply.....

The book coasts £12.00 and all the proceeds from the book (after printing costs) will be divided between The National Brain Appeal (formerly known as The National Hospital Development Foundation) which is the charity dedicated to raising vital funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, which did much to help Richard’s wife, Amanda, through the earlier stages of her dementia) and The Friends of St Mary’s, Snettisham, which exists to help maintain and preserve “The most exciting 14th Century decorated church in Norfolk,”(Nikolaus Pevsner).
